Field trips are a fun way for students to get out of the classroom and have some hands-on learning experiences at major transportation engineering projects hosted by companies who kindly donate their time. For Engineering and Urban
Planning students who will one day work with these companies, these
trips are a great way to inspire excitement in students who may take the
lead on infrastructure projects like the ones they encounter on field trips
led by ITE at UCLA.
Our chapter goes on field trips to all types of transportation facilities
around the area, including transit stations, railway yards, freeway
projects, airports, theme parks, traffic management centers, ports, and
just about any other transportation-related workplace.
