We are going to have a very unique and informative info session regarding content that has not been covered before! This technical presentation will give you great insight on a whole another side of the transportation industry. He led the Cal Poly Pomona team to its first top 3 finish the Detroit Formula SAE competition.

The following topics are just a few points he will be talking about:
– The Playing Field
– What makes a Commuter Passenger Locomotive
– Higher Track Speeds
– Catenary electrification
– Lower green house gas emissions
– Amtrak vs Local agencies
– Near zero emissions

Dinner will be provided. See you all there!

Thank You For Coming

We experienced an awesome turnout on March 3rd during our Annual Student and Professional Mixer. Over 20 professionals from nine transportation engineering companies and 30 students from various Southern California universities attended this night to network and talk about opportunities within the field of transportation. We hope everyone enjoyed this time as much as we did, and we want to thank all the sponsors and attendees for coming. See you all next year!

BRIDGES BRIDGES BRIDGES. They are awesome so come out to hear about demolution and construction of the monumental undertaking! Dinner of course is provided.

One of America’s most famous and iconic bridges, the Sixth Street Viaduct, acts as a vital connection between the growing Arts District on the west side of the Los Angeles River and the historic neighborhood of Boyle Heights on the east side. Yet, due to a rare chemical reaction in the cement supports and seismic vulnerability, the Sixth Street Viaduct will soon be demolished and replaced. The $449 million project to replace the beloved bridge, the Sixth Street Viaduct Replacement Project, is the largest bridge project in the history of Los Angeles.
